Planning is underway for a multi-day walking route that would trace the Tarwin River from its headwaters in the Strzelecki Ranges to Corner Inlet. The proposed trail would pass through working farms, state forest, and coastal wetlands, connecting communities along the way.
A feasibility study is being conducted in 2022–23, with community consultation planned to identify key stopping points, access issues and landholder interest.
