We Love the Tarwin was officially launched at the Tarwin Symposium in September 2019, bringing together over 80 community members, landholders, researchers and government representatives to share their connection to the Tarwin River catchment.
The symposium identified community priorities for catchment restoration, including riparian revegetation, water quality monitoring, pest plant and animal control, and the development of walking trails and citizen science programs.
The initiative is supported by the South Gippsland Landcare Network through the Biodiversity Protection Program.
