Macroinvertebrates — the insects, worms, crustaceans and molluscs living in our streams — are excellent indicators of water quality and ecosystem health. Their presence and diversity tell us a great deal about what’s happening in our waterways.
This spring we’re running community macroinvertebrate surveys at five sites across the Tarwin catchment. No experience necessary — training is provided on the day. All you need is old clothes, waterproof boots, and curiosity.
