The 2024 Tarwin Symposium brought together over 100 community members, researchers, government representatives and landholders at the Leongatha Agricultural Centre. Presentations covered the latest science on catchment health, riparian restoration, climate impacts on the Tarwin, and the stories of Traditional Custodians.
Workshops explored the future direction of the We Love the Tarwin initiative, with participants identifying walking trails, a community storytelling platform, and expanded citizen science as top priorities.
